Cakes & Cuzin's

I decided I better update my blog since not too many blog posts ago I talked about Breana coming! She is coming again on Thursday so I figured I better get caught up so I can be ready to post about our fun adventures!
Here are a few of cakes that I have made lately! I absolutely love making cakes! I haven't had any professional training whatsoever but hopefully I can find time to take a local cake decorating class or two!
The cake above is a remake of the cake I made for Breana's bachelorette party in different colors! I made this for Britt for her friend Melinda's Bachelorette Party! I was really nervous to make it but it turned out really well.I helped Michael's sister Mary Lyn make her boyfriend a cake for his birthday! He loves Toy Story so of course we had to do Andy's Bed! It was a lot of fun to make and turned out better than we both expected!
Michael turned 26! (Old Fart!) I had a hard time trying to decide what kind of cake to make him! I wanted to do something fun and unique that would be just perfect! I was pretty proud with what I came up with!...a Mario Kart cake! Unfortunately, work was crazy the week of his birthday so I didn't get quite as much time to work on his cake as I would have liked but he loved it!
Michael loves Mario Kart! Since our schedules are so busy we don't always get a lot of time to do something fun together! During the semester it was not uncommon for us to only be able to play a game of Mario Kart before bed! We have so much fun playing. We are both so competitive so it is hilarious!
The control was made out of rice krispie treats to keep it's shape! It worked out great except for the frosting wasn't as smooth! I think rice krispie's work best with fondant! One day I will learn how to do it!

My Cuzin Justina was in her school play! "High School Musical." She did a really great job and the play was actually really good! I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting a huge performance but they all did a great job! I am so proud of Justina for the girl she is becoming and the choices she is making! Jocelyn came with me!
After the play I took Justina and Emily home with me to spend the night! The next morning we woke up and made some breakfast and then headed up to hike the Y! It was so much fun! Here are the girls at the bottom! We tried to get a pic with the 4 of us! Ha ha!
We finally made it to the top! I just had to take a pic of 7 Peaks! I can't wait for the 4th of July to spend the day there! It looks so little from the mountain! We made lunches to eat up there and just relaxed and talked and laughed! It was a lot of fun and a good work out! If anyone wants to go with me just let me know and I will be there!

Love it Tiff! I'm excited for 7 peaks too. Except I will seriously be a beached whale this year. And, I really want to hike the Y with you. It's basically all I can do to get a work out in these days with this giant beach ball protruding from my front side. Hiking would be perfect! Love ya!

Are you KIDDING me?! Those cakes are INSANE. You are disgustingly talented. Seriously. Please incorporate yourself post haste and start making millions. Then I can brag to even more individuals that I went to Girls' Camp with you. :) Love you, Tiff!
